5 Things I Learned from the World Cup

The World Cup is in its final throws down in South Africa this weekend and I can already feel the gaping hole it's going to leave in my life. Lucky the MLS schedule is in full swing and transfer season is opening up for the rest of the world. Before the final game on Sunday, I thought I would make a list of a few things I learned from this year's World Cup. It's been a few years since I became a soccer fan, and I think I watched more World Cup this year than in all the prior years combined. Whether you're an old fan, or new to the sport, there are always lessons to be learned from the biggest sports event in the world.

Sounders FTW!

Just had to post this highlight video from last nights domination of Argentina's premier team, Boca Juniors. I'm a huge soccer fan and a hardcore Sounders FC fan. Most people haven't caught on to MLS soccer like the Seattle fans have, but when you see a great game like this, you know why we are so excited about American soccer. After a bit of a scoring dry spell at home, the Sounders were one fire last night, and from some people who haven't scored for us this season. I'm really hoping this carries over to their match this Saturday against the Colorado Rapids.
