Chrome in Lightspeed

I just watched this video on Diggnation and I was super impressed with a) the ingenuity of the advertising team, and b) hot damn that browser seems fast! While I'm still using Firefox because of the aesthetics and all the extensions, there is a growing buzz around Google's Chrome browser that makes me wonder if it's worth the switch.

Japan Gets the Best Commercials

I just saw these Softbank commercials today and they are fantastic. I'm not sure when these commercials came out in Japan but they look relatively new. They star Brad Pitt, and are directed by Spike Jonze. It's rare to see such talent come together in American commercials, but it seems like they are more willing to do things like this for the overseas markets. When I visited Tokyo in March I saw George Clooney in a Honda Odyssey commercial and I had to do a double take. I don't know what kind of money gets thrown at these things but I hope it's selling phones for Softbank. This is really great work from Jonze and Pitt. By the way if you like the music used, it's a song by Department of Eagles.
