Trailer Round-Up Round #4

Welcome to the fourth installment of our sometimes weekly look at the interesting and note worthy trailers to hit the internet. This week we get abducted by alien owls, have a staring contest with goats, and we see the return of the killer saints. Who could ask for more? To find out what's in store in this week's round up, just hit that link to read more.

Our first trailer this week wins the award for most freaky trailer in recent memory. This movie has the Blair Witch Project, Signs and The Mothman Prophecies written all over it. Those are movies that truly had me scared, or at least a little nervous both during and after I watched them. The jury is still out as to whether the real footage they claim to have in the trailer is authentic or not but the addition is a nice touch of reality. I hope the Nome, Alaska chamber of commerce is prepared to lose those five tourists they were hoping for after this comes out. This one will have you thinking twice about aliens and owls, and then might having you thinking about aliens with owls but don't go down that road, it's a nasty place.

Spacey, McGregor, Clooney, and Bridges being as much The Dude as ever, this movie looks hilarious. With a solid cast and an interesting, supposedly true story to work with I think this movie looks like a winner. I've been wrong before. It isn't always about the cast but what you do with them. The director hasn't done much directing so we'll see how it all comes together. However seeing Clooney romping through the desert reminded me of Three Kings, which is a fantastic movie. Anyway, it is a solid trailer, especially when they use my favorite Boston song.

This is a sequel that has been a long time coming. I guess the first movie was considered a cult classic but I'm sure a lot of you have seen it. If The Boondock Saints slipped by you somehow then you must go out and watch it by October 30th. It's great to see the main cast back as it would be impossible to do this movie right without them. I'm hoping this one is a little better than the trailer makes it look. The story will be decent, the action will hopefully be amazing but lets hope it doesn't look to cheap. Troy Duffy has a chance to break out as a director if he gets this one right, so I'm pulling for him. At the least it will be entertaining.
